Los Angeles, California -- Celebrities have been showing their support for solar power for years. Many have made expensive purchases of solar power systems for their homes and in most cases had little hope of recouping their losses.  

Why do celebrities purchase such mundane extravagances?  We really wanted to know so we contacted several solar service providers to the stars and found out the disturbing truth.
