Watch Out Sunoco ...
New York – This week, troubled energy conglomerate BP (NYSE:BP) sent memos out to fueling station owners across the United States indicating that each station should change its signage to read “Sunoco.” The memo went on to explain that the name Sunoco had a good reputation in the U.S. and their sales would no longer be inhibited by the bad press of BP.
'Tea Time' Saves the Day
When executives of BP were asked about the existing oil company named Sunoco (NYSE:SUN), they indicated they were not aware of any companies—with a significant market cap—going by that name.
UPDATE: Missing Executives of Sunoco found bound and gagged in their executive board room, located in Center City Philadelphia. Eyewitnesses stated several executives were able to escape when yet-to-be-identified captors mysteriously broke for tea at 4 p.m., right in the middle of the abduction.
