The Price and Purpose of the Kill A Watt

Purpose: Use the Kill A Watt to get an accurate measure of the total power usage of most electrical devices that run on 110v in your home.

Review: There are a number of energy meters on the market but the P3 Kill A Watt P4400 is the undeniable best bang for the buck.  This unit

was P3's first popular model of home energy meter for the consumer and it still is the best deal on the market, as long as you can do your own

math.

The Plus Side of "Kill a Watt"

Plus Side: Cheap, small, easy to operate and understand.  The Kill A Watt P4400 just plugs in right out of the box and does its job well.

Minus Side: Display shows watts not dollars.  Unit loses memory when unplugged so statistics must be read at the socket, or you must use an extension cord.  Might not work for larger in window air conditioner due to power draw limitation of 15 amps.

Overall:  This unit is great for walking around your house and coming to understand what devices are using most of your electricity.  These have been out for several years and people are still buying them!  P3 hit a home run with this one for sure!  They are just cool!
