Danger:  On the serious side...

Lots of people are trying to cash in on the energy craze.  Heck, we are!  Unfortunately there are not that
many good honest ways to do it.  You can build a great product.  There are lots of large companies doing that, so it is pretty tough to break in as an individual.

You can provide education; product reviews, general knowledge, entertainment.  These are ways honest people can make a difference.  Help to make people excited about some part of our home, the earth.
Or, you can just sucker people.  Convince them you have the way to magically move mountains with ease, when you really can't.  This what many of these do it yourself folks are trying to do.  Make you believe that they can give you a way to cheat.

They do it old school by implying money savings without providing any decent evidence, then hit you with the guilt.  "Are you doing everything you can do be GREEN"?  Well probably not...but I could buy what this guy is selling!  Then they right price the item so it is almost an impulse buy.  It is right on the very edge of what anyone would pay to take a risk that this plan might work out for them.

Now, here it the fun part.  The only thing they really promise is that their plan will allow you to build a, whatever it is, and I believe it is the only truth in the whole business.

I will never forget, I got my hands on one of these books about building solar panels once and the first step was to go buy a solar panel.  I kid you not.  You were to go on Ebay and find a used solar panel to save money on solar cells.

I will just leave you with that thought...
