A new, energy-efficient piece of equipment is now available from those innovative folks over at Logitech. If you’ve been waiting with baited breath for a solar-powered keyboard, then you’re in luck. The company aimed at “personal peripherals” now offers their Wireless Solar Keyboard K750 model for a low price of $79.99 USD!

The keyboard’s motto: Powered by light — Very thin — Feels good. I think I just might be in LOVE!

Logitech Keyboard Does Solar Power Well

While most battery-operated laptops already come with a keyboard, adding this solar-powered version to your setup only takes mere seconds — just plug the wireless receiver into a USB port on your computer and start typing. Don’t you just love technology!

This new keyboard uses Logitech’s proprietary wireless Unifying link standard (versus Bluetooth). A company spokesman was overheard saying, “No one does solar-powered keyboards better than us. Take that Dell!”

It has been surmised that future projects from Logitech will include a solar-powered external hard drive (to store those nonsensical ramblings), as well as a self cleaning computer screen. Much good that will do us — but on second thought, after seeing our computer screens after a few slices of delivery pizza, it might not be such a bad idea after all.
